For the Ludwigsburg Cultural Center, we developed - in addition to a reception counter whose cubature can be folded into a workplace – multiple zones with areas for working, lounging and breaks. This includes tables of different heights with integrated power supplies and light sources. This flexibility allows enough space for short- or long-term working sessions. Specially designed upholstered furniture can also be found on the open staircase and the upper gallery which creates a space where one can retreat. The furniture program designed by us under the design lead of L2M3 is complemented by shelves and a digital signage system in which all media can be integrated. Black solid surface and oak wood are the predominant materials, which blend into the existing architecture in a restrained and sensitive way.
