Simon Busse Studio
Collect, BO Series

Inspired by architect Bo Bardi and her iconic design - a hybrid between a chair and a stool intended for the public space of the Sesc Pompeia library - the “BO_Chair” stool was created. The design is based on a structural principle in which stability is achieved solely by slotting the elements together and using cable ties. This minimalist, material-efficient construction places the focus on the process of joining elements and opens up a wide range of design possibilities. The “BO” collection emerged from the consistent further development of this principle; it explores modular assembly as a central design theme and interprets it in various ways.
